Swearing In Ceremony, 7-12-19
Meet our newest class of CASA volunteers! On July 12, we happily welcomed 10 new Court Appointed Special Advocates to the CASA team. The Honorable Steven R. Ohmer, St. Louis City Family Court administrative judge, performed the swearing in and spoke to the importance and value of the CASA work.
Along with Judge Ohmer, our CASA volunteers received a welcome from Chief Executive Officer, Steve Moergen, Board Chair, Kimberley Vuitel, and Vice Chair, Amy Ruiz. Each one spoke to the great need for CASAs and expressed their sincere appreciation for all that our volunteers do in advocating for children in foster care.
Like all of our CASA volunteers, this class was made up of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets from all walks of life. However they all share one thing in common, their dedication and commitment to serving as advocates for children in foster care!
Welcome to the team to each of our new CASAs!
