Those interested in learning more about becoming a CASA are invited to attend a one hour, no-commitment orientation session. Individuals may attend an orientation session at any time during the inquiry or application process prior to the in-person interview. Attendance at an orientation session is a requirement in the application process.

Join us in ensuring that more children are safe and have the opportunity to thrive.  Here’s how:

  1. Review requirements and eligibility of the CASA service description.

  2. Complete online application and background check authorization form.
**Please note, the background check authorization form must be hand-signed and returned via fax (314-615-0621), mail (105 S Central Ave St. Louis, MO 63105), or scanned and emailed (shouston-butler@stlcasa.org).

  3. After submission, CASA of St. Louis staff will acknowledge receipt of application and background check. At this time, applicant will also be asked which of our upcoming training cycles they would be interested in attending upon acceptance into the program.
***Please note, pre-service training consists of five in-person sessions and online work in between each class. Attendance at each in-person session is mandatory.

  4. After background results are approved, references are received, and applicant has attended an information session, CASA of St. Louis staff will contact applicant to schedule an in-person screening interview.

  5.  After the in-person interview is held, applicant will be notified of acceptance into pre-service training and be provided further details to get started on training!
