Ways to Give

There are a number of ways to make a gift to CASA of St. Louis.

General Donations:

General donations may be made online with a MasterCard, Visa, or American Express credit card by visiting our donation page or clicking on the “Donate Now” button at the top of our site. You can choose to make a one-time or establish a recurring gift to help all throughout the year.

Donors whose tax deductible General Donations total $100 or more annually may be eligible for a Champions for Children tax credit on the Missouri State taxes. In addition, donors whose general donations total $1,200 more (unaffiliated with event purchases) are welcomed into the Powerful Voice Society. The Powerful Voice Society is a giving program designed to provide special recognition of leaders in philanthropic giving to CASA of St. Louis.

Donor Advised Funds:

CASA of St. Louis accepts gifts from Donor Advised Funds. Funds may be sent via check using the address above; please contact kduffin@stlcasa.org for more information.

 
 
Gifts of Appreciate Assetsred.png

Gifts of AppreciateD Assets:

CASA of St. Louis is accepts gifts of stocks, bonds, and other securities. These gifts of appreciated stock can provide advantages when compared to making a cash donation. You can deduct the fair market value of the qualified non-cash property with no capital gains tax, provided you have held the asset for more than one year. If the securities have lost value, you could see additional advantages by selling the securities and giving the proceeds to CASA of St. Louis, which would allow you to claim a charitable deduction for the gift as well as claim the capital loss.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts:

Memorial or Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to recognize a family member or friend. Gifts can be in memory of someone who has passed or in honor of special events, such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries or other special occasions. CASA of St. Louis will send an acknowledgement of your gift both to you, as the donor, and to the person you designate. Use our donation form or contact kduffin@stlcasa.org to get started.

Matching Gifts:

Many companies support their employees’ philanthropic efforts by matching all or a part of their charitable gifts. Check with your human resources department to find out if and how your company matches.

Sponsorships:

Corporations can support our mission and promote their brands to like-minded individuals by choosing to sponsor a special event. Please contact kduffin@stlcasa.org for more information.

 

Planned Giving:

Effective charitable gift planning can help you increase your current income or protect your estate. Gift planning allows you to obtain valuable tax advantages as well as ensuring your legacy of supporting St. Louis children in foster care. The most common types of planned gifts include:

  • A bequest in your will

  • Gifts of life insurance

  • Charitable gift annuity
