Information Sessions

Our one hour, no-commitment Information Sessions are designed to provide additional details regarding the CASA role and application process and include a CASA testimonial from a current volunteer.

Participating in an Information Session is also a requirement of the application process.

Due to the current recommendations for social distancing, Information Sessions are being held virtually via the Zoom platform.

CASA PRESERVICE DATES

CASA preservice training consists of five in-person sessions and online work done in advance of each session. Attendance at each session and completion of the online modules is required. Our upcoming training dates and application deadlines are listed below.

CASA Volunteer Preservice Training Classes

Winter (evenings):

CASA Flex Learning – The following sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Session 1: Tuesday, January 9, 2024

Session 2: Tuesday, January 16, 2024

Session 3: Tuesday, January 23, 2024

Session 4: Tuesday, January 30, 2024

Session 5: Tuesday, February 13, 2024

*No Class on Tuesday, February 6th

Winter (morning):

CASA Flex Learning – The following sessions will be held Fridays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM 

Session 1:             Friday, January 19, 2024

Session 2:             Friday, January 26, 2024

Session 3:             Friday, February 2, 2024

Session 4:             Friday, February 9, 2024

Session 5:             Friday, February 23, 2024

*No Class on Friday, February 16th       

Submission of application by deadline does not guarantee participation in preservice training. All requirements of the application must be met for consideration including receiving results from the background screening, references, and completion of in-person screening interview. It is recommended to submit your application early to ensure timeliness of processing.
